Brand Image & Website Design

Whether you need a full brand image or a custom website, I’ll help make your business beautiful.

Picking colour palettes. Sketching mock-upportfos. Choosing fonts.
Layering in Photoshop. Adjusting layouts. Writing code.

You’ve got a beyond-brilliant business idea and you’ve perfected your products and packages. You’re excited, motivated, and you want to show the world what you’re made of.

But there is one tiny major problem:
The design elements of your business? Not-so-brilliant.

You’re doing the best you can with what you have, but deep down, you’re dreaming of a brand image that is just as beautiful, smart, and stylish as you are.

Allow me to introduce myself…
I’m Kirsty McGill, and I can make your business beautiful. I work with female entrepreneurs with small businesses to make sure their brand image and web design and print design is everything they dream of.

The thing is, first impressions matter. Having a beautiful brand image will captivate your audience and turn them into customers. Whether they are opening your newsletter or browsing your website, you need them to be drawn in and compelled to take the action you want them to.

I’ll create the branding you need to put your best foot forward, attract your customers, and make more money. All while feeling inspired about what you do and stylish while you do it. Whether you are starting from scratch or ready for a design makeover, I can create a brand image and website that shows off the personality of you and your business.

And what’s my experience?
In 2010 I graduated from University for the Creative Arts with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Graphic Design. In the years since I’ve worked working full-time as the in-house graphic designer for Savoir Beds, Choice Discount Stores, and the popular premier beauty brand Jemma Kidd Make Up.

I’m now a part-time front-end web designer/developer at Fashion Nexus a web design agency specialising in fashion e-commerce. Which has allowed me to work on numerous high profile fashion company websites.

I’ve also been working as a freelance designer (formerly at on a variety of different projects such as branding, web design, web development and print design. For my full portfolio of work please see

Initially, I had planned on creating my website myself, hoping that I wouldn’t have too many headaches and could come up with something that looked nice enough. I am so glad I chose to work with Kirsty Designs instead! Kirsty created a website and brand image that is bright, clean, and very me. She understood my vision and brought it to life with ease and grace, and took of all the details for me – even the ones I hadn’t thought about. I highly recommend hiring Kirsty for your design and website needs, because she knows how to make your business look beautiful!

My design style is clean, modern and minimal making use of lots of white space, touches of grey for balance with pops of bright colour. I enjoy working with women-focussed businesses so my designs are often feminine but not overly ‘girly’. Of course every design is unique and custom so we will discuss your vision and how I can help you achieve it. As a designer and developer we will work together from branding through to the final touches of building your website ensuring consistency in brand image.

1: Briefing

All About You

We start your design project with information. I need to know all about your business and understand the goals you hope to achieve through your new website. You’ll fill out a design brief form, or we can arrange a time to discuss everything (via Skype or phone, or in person if you’re in Essex like me).

2: Agreements

Covering the Bases

I’ll send you a detailed proposal confirming your investment and timeline so you know exactly what to expect. When we’re both happy and ready to book your website package, I’ll send a Design Agreement. At this point, you’ll pay the first installment of your investment to lock in your start date.

3: Planning

Planning, Research & Inspiration

Using your design brief and everything we’ve discussed so far, I spend time planning, researching, and gathering inspiration. This includes taking a look at your competition, planning the strategy, and creating a sitemap. Together, we’ll narrow down the visual language that will be used – essentially you’ll tell me what speaks to you and let me know we’re on the same page.

4: Design

The Fun Part

I start out by sketching numerous ideas, quickly narrowing down what works and what doesn’t. I’ll take the strongest ideas and create the initial mock-ups of your new website. I focus on the main page to show you first so you don’t have to wait as long to see it. Once I know you love that page, I design the rest of your pages while coding and developing your website.

5: Review

Review & Tweaks

Once you’ve received the mock-ups from me, you let me know any feedback you have or revisions you would like. We can go through this revision process twice, though with my knack for quickly understanding my clients’ visions, we don’t always need both rounds of revisions.

6: Development

Seeing it Come Together

This is the part of the process where you see your website come alive in real life. I begin to build your website, following the page designs we’ve come up with. Throughout the development process, I test your website in multiple browsers, including mobile, to make sure everything looks as beautiful as it should.

7: Delivery

Delivery & Launch

This is the exciting part! Your new Beautiful Branded Business image is ready and signed off on. I’ll send you any files you need, including your WordPress training guide. I’ll also make your website live for the day you choose. You’re ready to show the world!

Excited to love the way your business looks? Let’s make it happen!

I love my website makeover—I get compliments on it all the time. You got the vibe exactly right!

When Kirsty reached out to me when I asked a question in a group we both belong to and said she could help, I didn’t have any hesitations. The best part of working together was the step by step instructions to provide her with the info she needed to add a beautiful looking opt-in box to my 2 websites so that I can grow my newsletter list.
